Loft  Management

Success is only reached by the day to day handling of your pigeons. This is a 365 day a year job which in time turns into a profession the Loft manager is the person rarely spoken about the person who purchase the pigeons takes all of the credit.

Not so at Lion Gate Lofts,in the past we had the honor of having Arnold Moors & his wife as a loft manager in 1999 & 2000. Arnold being dead set to Win the Viola race was saddened when Frank Viola released the pigeons in a steady drizzle with 500 feet visibility long with three hours after day light making it impossible for any long enders to clock day birds in a smash race. Lion Gate lofts raised the 6th pigeon the next day beating three day birds.Arnold being an avid breeder & racer in Haslette Belgium never heard of this system He was so despondent he suffered a fatal heart attack the Monday after the Viola race.

Arnold being a very successful breeder & racer with many champions such as Haille Galsesphere 1 International Pau. Jacky Joyner world champion fastest pigeon in the world. Arnoldus world champion 1998. Kiuri the sire of Arnold 1st International Barcelona 19,224 pigeons. Along with a family of the best producers of winners both here & Europe.

Shortly after he died Lion Gate was 1st 2nd & 3rd in the IF Convention race in 2000. I hired a great guy Bob Adams as a loft manager he gave us 100%+ ,his only handicap was that he was a champion tiplet flier and lacked the knowledge of heavy training. Along with optimal condition needed to be a true competoter.

Next I hired a person who claimed to be a champion in his country. Another great guy who knew nothing more tan an average person around the loft. Never following the rigid program Arnold set down fibbing about administering the essential vitamins & minerals. Yes we won races without a doubt. When it came time for these well bred pigeon to fly seven plus hours the returning pigeon were far and wide in their return. I then sent him to tend to the breeders.

Within two weeks his helper took the helm we shipped the Joe Parkway  Memorial race 1st 2nd & 3rd with the wind against us. 1st & 2nd  Itf Band race. 1st 2nd 3rd 44th & 5th Emf Band race. 1st Lbr Band race. At the saeson end winning 12 races in both Club and futurities,
