Lion Gate Lofts started out by visiting all of the Champions Fliers in both Belgium & The Netherlands in 1998 the top ranking fiers not stopping at any costs.
Houben Family Middle Distance Champions
I purchased 12 of their best. Not being satisfed in 1998 I went back to purchase 10 more of their better producing & winning pigeons.In 2002 only four made the fnal selection
Gjis PetersI personally selected youngsters from De Hekkenklak, Fire Flight, Prince Albert & Joey. By 2002 all but the line of the King Albert pigeons made the fnal selection.

Erik Limbourg
Again my selection was based upon records. Twenty young pigeons were selected from Voske, the 019 Line and the line of the
$90,000.00 Cock. Incidentally the $90,000.00 Cockwas responsible for 16-1sts for Erik with 7 different hens. In 1999 I purchased two granddaughters from the $90,000.00 cock. Looking for a skip a gene generation. Which proved to be correct.
By 2003 Five made the fnal selection.

Silvere Toye
In 1999 I purchased three Silvere Toye pigeons at an auction in Denver. With some outstanding results I visited Silvere Toye at his home and purchased nineteen Young pigeons along with 6 older proven hens. By 2004 only 6 made the fnal selection.

Roger Desmet-Matthys
In 1999 I visited Roger Desmet-Matthys selecting from all of his national pigeons 16 were selected. Excellent pigeons. I won the Texas Shootout Race. In South Africa I placed 20th in the fnal race. The only problem was Roger does not fy young bird races. His pigeons took several years to mature. By 2004 only four were selected
Jos Thone
My son visited Jos Thone and as a gift to me purchased 12 proven pigeons by 2006 only fve made the Breeders team.
Arnold Moors
During that visit my son met Arnold Moors a top fier in Haslett Belgium he invited him to visit my home. Once Arnold saw the dollars won in futurity races he was astonished. He had bred Arnold 1st Int.Barcelona 24,949 pigeons, Haile Galdisphere 1st international Pau, Arnoldus 1st world champion. Arnold offered me the Sire “Kiuri”& Dam “Roxy”of Arnold, The Sire”Fat Boy” son of Volare & Dam “Princess"of Arnoldus. A sister of “Kiuri” for $54,000.00 with an offer to be my loft manager along with his wife.These pigeons are my foundation pigeons winning today in the United States of America, across Europe and South Africa.. In 2011 a provincial winner in Belgium is of these same lines.
Their children represent a very large majority of Jos Thone’s champions & Super Stars & Golden Gallery.
